Care & Longevity Guide

For 100% Cotton Products
Cotton is a natural, breathable fiber prized for its comfort, durability, and timeless feel. With proper care, a 100% cotton garment can maintain its structure, softness, and appearance for years. Follow the guidelines below to preserve the integrity of your piece and extend its lifespan.
Washing Instructions
Machine Wash Cold
-
Wash in cold water (30°C / 86°F or below) to minimize shrinkage and fiber stress.
-
Cold water helps preserve fabric strength and prevents premature fading.
Gentle Cycle Recommended
-
Use a gentle or normal cycle to reduce friction, which can weaken cotton fibers over time.
Wash With Like Colors
-
Separate lights and darks to avoid color transfer.
-
New garments should be washed separately for the first few washes.
Use Mild Detergent
-
Choose a gentle, bleach-free detergent.
-
Avoid harsh chemicals, optical brighteners, or fabric softeners, which can coat fibers and reduce breathability.
Turn Garment Inside Out
-
Protects the outer surface from abrasion and helps maintain color and texture.
Drying Instructions
Air Dry for Maximum Longevity (Recommended)
-
Lay flat or hang to dry in a well-ventilated area.
-
Air drying preserves fiber strength and reduces shrinkage.
If Using a Dryer
-
Tumble dry on low heat only.
-
Remove promptly while slightly damp to prevent over-drying, which can cause stiffness and fiber breakdown.
Avoid High Heat
-
High temperatures weaken cotton fibers and accelerate wear.

Ironing & Steaming
Iron on Medium Heat
-
Cotton responds well to medium heat (usually the “cotton” setting).
-
Iron while slightly damp for best results.
Steam Safe
-
Steaming is effective for removing wrinkles without direct heat stress.
Avoid Over-Pressing
-
Excessive heat in one area can cause shine or fabric fatigue.

Stain Care
Treat Stains Immediately
-
Blot do not rub to avoid pushing stains deeper into the fibers.
Spot Clean Gently
-
Use cold water and a mild detergent.
-
Test any stain remover on an inconspicuous area first.
Avoid Bleach
-
Chlorine bleach weakens cotton fibers and causes yellowing over time.

Storage Recommendations
Store Clean
-
Always store garments freshly washed and fully dry to prevent mildew or fiber degradation.
Fold or Hang Properly
-
Fold heavier cotton items to prevent stretching.
-
Hang lighter pieces using supportive hangers.
Avoid Direct Sunlight
-
Long-term exposure to sunlight can cause fading and weaken fibers.
Natural Wear & Aging
Cotton is a living fiber and may soften and relax with wear—this is a natural part of its character. With proper care, this aging enhances comfort without compromising structure.
Minor variations in texture or softness over time are expected and reflect the authenticity of a natural material.
